the countdown...

I can't stress enough how EXCITED I am for Friday!!! Only 4 more days until my parents arrive. YEAH! I'M SO EXCITED. Have I mentioned that yet??!?! Of course Aubrey is over the moon as well. She has made up her own itinerary for when they are here: showing them her favorite things about the zoo (pony rides, a certain large statue, and a spooky cave), lone pine, kindy, reading them stories, riding bikes, writing and of course the beach! I don't have the heart to tell her that it's too cold to actually go swimming. She's been wanting to try out her goggles for weeks. Her only concern is what Mazie is going to do when they are here. I've assured her that Mazie will be taken care of. Bless her heart she was quite disappointed when she learned that Mazie wasn't coming. Mazie will be enjoying her own vaca.

Joel will hopefully be getting back later today from India. It's been a long 11 days. But I was able to get all the unpacking finally done. And I did organize the dreaded Aubrey's closet. So we are all set to go. No more boxes. Only some minor organization and we need to find some patio furniture. So I'm really excited for that.

Aubrey's excited to make some special projects at Kindy for her Grandma and PopPop. And Mary Lyn is also excited~in her own way. Her lone tooth has moved up considerably so now you can see it when she smiles. She is now working on tooth #2 and the whole crawling thing. And me? I'm excited to see them and the goodies they will be bringing.....my old favorite Gap & Banana Republic jeans from 5 years ago.....oh how I've missed you. You were put away in the summer of 2005 and I honestly didn't think I'd ever get you back out. But I did it. I'm finally 1 lb away from my pre-Aubrey weight! It will be nice to wear jeans that actually fit.

I can't wait for my parents to get here. Friday can't get here soon enough. We are going to have such fun!
