school run...

Last Friday it was kinda a little chilly outside in the morning. It was 14 degrees C (57 F). I needed to do a school run. I was trying to get Aubrey to wear pants with a tshirt to Kindy, but that was a lost cause. She was determined to wear a skort instead. I at least got her in long sleeves. But she still had her flip flops on (they don't wear shoes at school; even when playing outside).  I actually had jeans on. I almost felt embarrassed to be wearing them. But I still had a tshirt and my flip flops on.

Well, we got to school, and all the mums flipped out at what I was wearing. They couldn't believe that I was just in a tshirt etc. And they were just as shocked to see what Aubrey was wearing. Their kids were in jeans, sweatshirts, tights under dresses, etc. Every kid had closed toe shoes on. And the mums were dressed  just like them. Jeans, turtlenecks, sweaters, DOWN VESTS, scarves, boots, etc etc. Aubrey's teachers couldn't believe it when I said this was warm weather...

So what makes up for a night of no sleep (me Thursday night)? A husband who makes you a latte in the morning. Having your groceries delivered. And then remembering that today is the day I can pick up my tupperware I ordered at Kindy. It turned out to be a great morning...
