There were some big things going on here today. Joel left to go back to India. He'll be back next Saturday. He sure is earning those frequent flyer points. I think he's at executive platinum status by now.
Thanks to Mary Lyn's long nap, I was able to finish the garage. Yes, I need to repeat myself because I'm so proud. Let me shout it from the rooftop~"I FINISHED UNPACKING AND ORGANIZING THE GARAGE!!!" Snaps to Emily, snaps to Emily. And there is even enough room for our car! Unbelievable, huh?
I'm just so excited that I'm finally at the last stages of unpacking our house. I finally called the movers and they can come take all of our boxes and packing materials that are in our backyard. So excited for next week to get that stuff out of here. With the garage all done, I just have to organize Aubrey's closet. The task I've been dreading.
Little Happenings..
Aubrey's highlight of the day? Finding Smurfette's car in a tote. She's excited to see her friends again next Wednesday when Kindy starts up again. They all got the flu over school holiday. So they are recovering from that. Thankfully my girls haven't gotten sick. Knock on wood. She's really into counting, making words and rhyming words. If anyone has any good words that rhyme with caterpillar, sprinkler or birthday can you pass them my way? I can't think of any; esp. at 3am when she asks me!
Mary Lyn has been busy drooling, scooting, blowing raspberries, babbling and hitting herself in the face with her hand. It's really quite cute. She looks like she's waving or giving a high five and then she hits herself in the forehead pretty hard. But that doesn't bother her.
I took both girls to the eye doctor a few days ago. They both passed with flying colors. I got to see pictures of Aubrey's retinas. I think that's pretty cool. I'm glad that I found a great doctor who will monitor them so early so we can catch any retina holes. Hopefully they won't have my holes or turned eye (as aussie's call it) and will both get Joel's eyes. Which that is what it's looking like as of now.
A perfect way to end a long day? Watch the grand final of Glee. Which was finally shown last night! Talk about the delay of aussie tv....7pm can't come soon enough.
